Consistent collection structures and communication tools
One of the lessons learned from last year's zero waste week is that a consistent collection structure with associated clear separation instructions is important for a zero waste ambition to succeed. We are introducing a new structure and an important collection tool is missing. We say goodbye to that during the zero waste week. Would you like to know what energy we extract from our office waste stream and how we solve this? Read our live blog.
Unavoidable flows, but sometimes avoidable
On Wednesday we bring attention to a very recognizable flow that always ends up as residual waste. But where there are also alternatives. To go zero waste, it is important to consider where products end up when they are no longer used when purchasing products. If the answer is in the residual waste bin, think of an alternative. In this step-by-step plan we inspire buyers to make different considerations. And if expertise about waste flows is required, we are ready to answer your questions.
Organic flows and zero waste, the perfect match
Organic flows, they are everywhere in large volumes and small volumes. And there is a sustainable alternative for many of these different flows. Many of these streams can be composted or in some cases offered as animal feed and worms also love them. To inspire you further, we invite you to participate in the webinar on composting on Thursday, June 6 at 10:00 AM. (in Dutch)
Zero Waste balances sustainability and profitability
If you, as an organization, choose to introduce zero waste in your company, you will see that this does not always result in an increase in costs. In fact, in most cases it leads to a reduction in costs and emissions at the same time. We call that sustainable profitability. In addition, new reporting obligations also expect companies to take steps to make their policies more sustainable and to report on this through, for example, the CSRD. Are you already familiar with the CSRD?

As far as we are concerned, every week is Zero Waste Week. This fits seamlessly with our mission to make the world waste-free by 2040. This week it's all about this question: 'How do we ensure that raw materials do not become waste?' Together with partners and interested parties, we explore innovations and creative solutions. Solutions that are both ecologically and economically attractive. We call that profitable sustainability.
Follow the developments of the Zero Waste Week via our live blog.
Earth Overshoot Day falls a little earlier every year. To initiate the transition to a circular economy, we must close cycles and ensure that raw materials no longer become waste.
As far as we are concerned, Zero Waste Week goes further than awareness. With our tools we provide organizations with tools to get started actively. We will discuss and take action with partners and clients about solutions and innovations that contribute to shifting Earth Overshoot Day to the day where it belongs: December 31.
