The waste register is part of the 'Flemish Regulation on the Sustainable Management of Material Cycles and Waste' (VLAREMA).
In Flanders, every company that produces waste is required to keep a monthly waste register. The competent authority is Public Waste Agency of Flanders (OVAM).
So does your company receive an inspection or control of your waste separation and processing by OVAM? Then your waste register will be requested. With this, you demonstrate that you manage and sort your waste properly.
