Dieseko Group, based in Sliedrecht, is a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative foundation equipment. They provide foundation solutions for their clients, resulting in a diversity of waste streams, including metals, oil and hydraulic hoses. With the upcoming requirement of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), it became important for Dieseko to understand the amount and impact of these waste streams and optimize their 2025 reporting.
Dashboard insights: new sustainable opportunities for waste management
Milgro supports Dieseko in managing waste streams more efficiently through clear reporting and insights into the environmental impact, including CO₂ emissions. Based on these insights, Milgro looks for the most suitable solution for each waste stream. This ensures that costs remain low, Dieseko complies with legislation and their daily processes are not disrupted by unnecessary waste transports. With the 2025 reporting requirement in sight, the Milgro Dashboard provides reliable waste data that can be used directly as input for Scope 3 CO₂ calculations. This saves Dieseko valuable time and supports them in achieving their sustainability goals.
The Milgro Dashboard thereby provides an overview of all waste streams and their impact, such as CO2 emissions and waste volumes per material type. This enables Dieseko to make targeted choices, such as reducing the amount of waste incinerated and increasing recyclable materials. An example is the optimization in the processing of waste oil. This was previously disposed of to a friend, but based on Milgro's insights, this process has been optimized and the oil now goes to a specialist. This ensures that the stream is processed more efficiently and then the regulations, with the added benefit of annual savings of €3,000.
Another example is the complex waste stream of hydraulic hoses. Annually, this involves 34.6 tons of material that is difficult to process due to the combination of rubber, steel and oil. With Milgro's data insights, a suitable solution for this stream is being actively sought.
The partnership with Milgro allows Dieseko to focus on their core business and the reports and their alone help them meet CSRD requirements, but also provides insights that allow them to further improve their waste management.
CSRD-ready: efficient and reliable reporting with Milgro
''The data quality and quantity that Milgro offers make it easier for us to meet the CSRD requirements as well as better map our CO₂ emissions'', says Cynthia Mooij, interim sustainability manager at Dieseko.
This is of great importance as it is the first time for the company to publicly report their sustainability data. ''Milgro's Dashboard also offers the possibilities to compare older data. This makes the progress within Dieseko's waste management clearly visible. This is a good basis for reliable CSRD reporting and Scope 3 emissions calculations, which we have to publish in 2026 about 2025.''
Based on her experiences, Cynthia sees a clear difference between companies that cooperate with Milgro and those that do not. Previously, waste data was received in a PDF report, which is convenient but less flexible. The Milgro Dashboard, however, provides direct access to comparisons with previous years, interactive tables and detailed analyses.
Milgro as a partner
With Milgro as a partner in waste management, Dieseko Group has the right tools not only to meet the CSRD obligation, but also to take concrete steps towards the organization's sustainability ambitions. Thanks to this partnership with Milgro, Dieseko now has better insight into their waste streams and CO2 impact. This enables them to make targeted choices about processing and reducing waste, such as hydraulic hoses and the processing of waste oil.
