Milgro and VINCI Facilities, the world's largest private sector concession construction group, have had a successful year. VINCI has asked Milgro to take the waste and raw materials management to a higher level for one of its customers. After a year, major efficiency improvements have been made for both parties.
Last year's results are in line with expectations. After a year, a major improvement has been made in the reports. Preparing for an audit for ISO 14001 now takes less time. The customer also has insight into all waste flows, including a relationship to the number of units produced. Improvements in the separation of waste streams have reduced waste costs per unit produced by 30%. Figures that both parties are proud of.
Martijn Schakel, Contract Manager at VINCI Facilities, adds: “The reports from Milgro have given me insight into the waste flows, which allows me to offer my customer much more added value. I now have the most efficient handling of all waste flows in sight."
The focus next year will be the further development of sustainable waste and raw material management. Improvements will be implemented step by step in the coming years.
