EcoVadis, an independent rating agency specializing in assessing companies' sustainability performance, has re-evaluated Milgro based on our policies, actions, and results in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This year, our overall score has increased from 63 to 66 points, earning us a silver medal. This achievement places Milgro in the top 15% of the industry.
Although we are pleased with this excellent score, we had hoped for a gold medal. Nevertheless, we are proud of what we have achieved and see this as motivation to further improve. It is particularly gratifying to see that we have achieved higher scores in the areas of 'ethics' and 'environment' compared to last year.
EcoVadis provides a sustainability assessment platform used for (global) sustainable procurement. Their mission is to deliver the most trusted sustainability ratings, enabling companies to reduce risks, improve performance, and optimize environmental and social outcomes.
We view our achieved result as an opportunity to grow further and identify areas for improvement. We continuously evaluate and enhance our sustainability policies. In doing so, we look beyond our EcoVadis score and focus on our ultimate goal: a world free of waste by 2040.
