For the second consecutive year Milgro is one of the Top 250 Growth Companies. This list of fastest growing companies in the Netherlands is published annually based on research by the Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship and the Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University.
To be included in the list, companies must employ a minimum of 10 FTE or have a turnover of at least 5 million euros, and have grown an average of 20% in FTE and / or turnover in the past three years. Milgro has comfortably met these criteria for a number of years and even grew in turnover by more than 60% in 2018.
TheTop 250 Groeibedrijven was announced on Wednesday 20 March during the annual event of nlgroeit in Ahoy in Rotterdam. During the event, the growth entrepreneurs present were treated to an interview with State Secretary of Economic Affairs Mona Keijzer about the growth climate in the Netherlands. There was also an 'inspiration show' with former winners such as Pieter Zwart (Coolblue) and Jitse Groen (Thuisbezorgd.nl).
Co-CEO Laurens Groen sees the listing in the Top 250 as confirmation of the continued growth strategy. “Milgro is the link between disposers and recipients of used raw materials. At its core, this revolves around our technology and digital processes. By continuing to develop these, our scalability increases significantly. We therefore expect to continue to grow strongly in the coming years ”.
