Collective purchasing consortium Columbus and Milgro recently continued their collaboration by concluding a new framework agreement. In addition to optimal waste separation and waste reduction, a great deal of attention will also be devoted in the coming years to the reuse of raw materials and providing insight into the loss of raw materials as a result of production failure.
Columbus is a purchasing group, in the form of an association, which was founded in 2002 by a number of Dutch food producers. More than 20 leading companies are now members of Colombus. Marcel Guitoneau, senior purchasing coordinator at Columbus, explains the choice for Milgro: “By entering into this framework agreement, we can make an active contribution to the responsible use of natural resources and the preservation of a healthy environment for future generations. In this way Columbus will continue to make a positive contribution to sustainable chain management in the coming years. ”
Alex van Kuilenburg, Consultant Resource Management at Milgro, is pleased with the new agreement. “After an extensive process, Milgro has again been chosen as Columbus's strategic partner. Our partnership goes back more than ten years and we are driven to continue to create sustainable value for the members of Columbus in the coming years. ”
