Rotterdam, Feb. 3, 2025 - Achieving level 3 on the CO2 Awareness Certificate is an important milestone in Milgro's ambition to contribute to a circular economy. This certification system provides insight into CO2 emissions and helps to structurally reduce them. This approach fits perfectly with our mission: to convert waste into raw materials and minimize environmental impact. With this certification, we demonstrate that we not only reduce our own impact, but also support our partners in their CO2 reduction goals, thus contributing to a sustainable future.
2024: important steps taken
In 2024, important steps have already been taken toward this ambition, including:
- The realization of the Zero Waste Office on the Pittsburghstraat in Rotterdam, where circularity is central.
- Achieving the VOKA Charter SDG Pioneer recognition.
- Receiving the EcoVadis silver medal, recognizing its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Approach and objectives for 2025
In 2025, we focus on further CO2 reduction through optimization and collaborations. Our main objectives are:
- Fully mapping and externally validating scope 3 emissions.
- Achieving a 10% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to 2023.
- Achieving B Corp certification as confirmation of social and environmental impact.
