Today is all about the PV, or our outings team. We let Elisa Teluij, Circular Economy Officer and a member of our PV, speak. She organizes the best activities together with four other colleagues. In this blog she takes you through the organization of our company outings.
Good preparationAbout four times a year, the Milgro PV team, consisting of five members, organizes fun activities for our colleagues. Organizing an activity all starts with preparation, because a good start is half the battle. Early this morning we went to the office, because the third PV activity of the year is scheduled: a workshop with Milgro's in-house artist. Together we are making final preparations for this event.
Productive meetings and successful activities
How does such an activity come about? By their own admission, the Milgro PV team holds the most energizing, chaotic and productive meetings in all of Milgro. We usually sit together for half an hour, evaluating the previous event and letting our creativity run wild for a new outing. Many of the outings we have organized have been a great success. For example, the cabaret performance at Theater de Veste in Delft was very well received and the food was also very much to our liking. Only rave reviews, which does us good.

Organizing activities: hilarious and chaotic
Each member of the PV team is assigned a different task. While some are responsible for the food, others take care of the activities. Together, we make sure that on the day itself, everything runs smoothly, at least for the public.
Organizing and devising these outings for our colleagues creates an enormous dose of hilarity and chaos behind the scenes, with the occasional hint of panic. The most extraordinary ideas pass in review, and of course each of the five of us also has a personal preference for the ideal event.
Workshop 'Day in the life of Denis'
Outings we plan on different days of the week and we provide varying content, so this time it was time for a workshop. And who better to provide one than Denis from Refunc. This company places in Milgro's premises all kinds of objects made from discarded materials and products, often with a good story to tell. For anyone who likes to step into his shoes for a day, the workshop ' A day in the life of Denis' soon came into being. Then it was a matter of waiting to see if Denis would find this idea just as brilliant, and fortunately that was the case.
The result was that our recycle kit room was full of craft materials. Each colleague had brought an item from home and then turned it into a beautiful lamp. The results were stunning, if I do say so myself.

Our next event has already been planned: a famous summer event! We can't wait to present another fun program to our colleagues after the summer.
